Sometimes, a quick change of scenery is all it takes to find a fresh spark of inspiration for the classroom. From March 19- 21, over 200 Cotsen Fellows, Mentors, Principals, and Alumni reunited in sunny Palm Springs for a high-energy conference at the California Spring Computer Using Educators (CUE), Powered by California Association for Leading Innovation in Education (CALIE). We spent our days diving into “Live Labs” and sessions focused on interactive storytelling, gamified learning, and the responsible use of AI, discovering how to blend these tools into every subject and grade level. One of the highlights was Friday鈥檚 poolside reception at the Hilton Palm Springs, where we gathered as a Foundation to share our “aha!” moments and encourage one another in the desert heat. We returned with time-saving strategies, fresh ways to engage every learner, and a renewed sense of community, ready to bring that new energy back to our students.
